Hello!

Julien grew up in the foggy fishing town of Monterey, California. He’s lived up and down the state of California, always sticking to the coast like a tenacious little sand crab. His love of drawing and story led him to earn a degree in illustration and animation from San Jose State University. When he isn’t drawing, writing, or laughing at his own jokes, Julien can be found surfing, skateboarding, or being absolutely mauled by his two loving boys.   

Julien’s work is inspired by animation, mid-century design, and classic comics. He works extremely hard to make his artwork look effortless. Nothing tickles him more than a heartfelt story packed full of gags and witty banter.
